Baked Macaroni and Cheese

On Black Friday, I found out that macaroni and cheese is a traditional Thanksgiving food for a lot of people, so I'm making it next year. Fortunately my mother's place of employment had comfort food day last weekend, which allowed me to try making it. I intended to make white cheddar macaroni and cheese; however no grocery stores in the area carry shredded white cheddar and I was on a deadline. I ended up using extra sharp cheddar with cavatappi pasta (instead of elbows- I'm fancy) and buttered bread crumbs on top. I'm not a cheese fan, but my parents both raved about it. I'll try making the white cheddar macaroni and cheese some time in January. I really liked making something savory for once!
