Happy New Year! I've made these champagne cupcakes before, but failed to post 'em- sorry about that. The tang from the champagne really balances out the sweetness in the frosting, which is nice for those who don't like sweet frostings (like me!). They're a great cupcake for a special occasion.
For those of you interested, here are my New Year's Resolutions:
- Reacquaint myself with grammar
- Finish reading The Hobbit
- Read The Lord of the Rings (I got like a 1/4 of the way through the first book when I was 14 before I gave up. This time I will finish them all).
- Finish A Feast for Crows and read A Dance With Dragons, preferably before Game of Thrones starts up again
- Work out almost daily
- Improve my pastry decorating skills
- Watch 200 movies I've never seen before (not new releases- must have come out before 2012
I've been off playing Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for a few days since I needed a break. It's an okay game. I definitely think Twilight Princess is the better Wii game (though Ocarina of Time is the best of all the Zelda games in my opinion). Once I finish that I'll be back to my Batman: Arkham Asylum replay and then start Arkham City. Don't worry, even with my video game playing I will be back to posting normally for the next few weeks, even when I am on vacation. More on that later this week.

ReplyDeleteI read Lord of the Rings when I was fifteen, but it took me six months to clear through the final book. As a writer, I probably shouldn't admit that :P I really need to reread The Hobbit though. I cleared through it in a few days a very long time ago, and don't remember it ^^;
